LIFE IS BEST LIVED SERVING

Description should be something like: We believe that our faith isn't meant to be kept to ourselves. We want to show the world our faith by our deeds and to make a difference in being the hands and feet of Jesus everywhere we go. Here at East 40 we desire to serve in three ways: Serve where we are, Serve where we can go, and Serve where will never be.

SERVE WHERE WE ARE

We love our neighbors and we want to make sure that we are serving them and showing them Jesus each day. We believe that we are on the mission field at all times and that God is already where we are going and has a plan for us! This is why we want to focus on serving where we are. Whether than is serving the physical needs of people in our neighborhoods or by sponsoring or serving at local missions like Christ Table and First Putnam House Homeless Shelter, we want to be a presence here in Muskingum County and surrounding areas.

SERVE WHERE WE CAN GO

We want echo Isaiah's response to God in Isaiah 6: "Here I am, send me!" If there is a need for rebuilding or restoration and we are able to mobilize and go, we want to be a church that meets those needs. We support many domestic missions including Mountain Mission School and Round Lake Christian Assembly. Currently, our church is planning on putting together a mission trip in November to areas in Texas or Florida impacted by the recent hurricanes.

SERVE WHERE WE will NEVER BE

We know that there are areas in the world that we will never physically go. But we also know that there are missionaries and mission organizations which are carrying out the Great Commission to preach to all nations. That is why we take pride in supporting missions and missionaries around the world with our weekly offering. We are currently supporting West Indies Christian MIssion, Team Expansion, and Pioneer Bible Translators.
